In humble submission to the will of God, we announce the earthly transition of Jarrett L. Pearson on September 4, 2026.

Jarrett L. Pearson was born on August 24, 1993, to Mr. Jason L. Pearson and the late Mrs. Maxine Jones Pearson. He was also blessed with the love and support of his bonus mother, Dr. Tonya Peters Pearson. On September 4, 2026, Jarrett transitioned from this earthly life, leaving behind a legacy of love and treasured memories.

Jarrett attended Duval County Public Schools, where he participated in football and basketball. He later attended University Christian High School, where he continued pursuing his love for football.

Jarrett enjoyed spending time with his family and celebrating the simple things in life. He loved playing sports and was an avid Jacksonville Jaguars fan. His love for family, sports, and fellowship brought him great joy and created many treasured memories.

Jarrett was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Maxine Jones Pearson; his grandmother, Mrs. Dewanyer Pearson Lockett; and his special cousin, Bobby Norris III.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his father, Mr. Jason L. Pearson; his bonus mother, Dr. Tonya Peters Pearson; four brothers, Jason Rashad (JP2), Juston Dewayne (JP3), Jordan Howard (JP5), and Jaden Rodrick (JP6); and his beloved nieces and nephews, Jaysha Maxine (JP7), Juston Jr. (JP8), JaShaun (JP9), Josiah (JP10), Justice (JP11), and JaMiah.

Jarrett also leaves his loving aunts, Teryle Shellman, Dewanyer “Stacey” Taylor, Lisa (Harry) Goldberg, Denise (Lanier) Richardson, Belinda Jones-Ward, and RaLeasar (Kenneth) Speed; and his uncles, J. Dwayne (Shahara) Heard, Mac Jones, Leon (Sharon) Jones, Larry (Wilma) Jones, Joseph (Darlene) Jones, Coley (Tina) Jones, Adrian (Patricia) Jones, and Tommie Taylor.

He will also be lovingly remembered by his great-uncle, Cornell Lane; his great-aunts, Gerri (Al) Denson and Jackie Smith; and his special cousins, Keith Bowers, Kiara Taylor, and Deveric Jones Sr.

Jarrett’s memory will forever be cherished by a host of loving family members and dear friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love, laughter, and memories he shared will remain in their hearts forever.

A service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 11:00AM in the First Baptist Church of Oakland. In honor of Jarrett's love for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jaguars attire is preferred: Denim and casual with teal, black and white colors.

In the time of personal loss, the beloved family has elected to locally entrust the Ministry of Comfort & Care, along with transitional after-care arrangements to Holmes-Glover-Solomon Funeral Directors, Inc.
