In humble submission to the will of God, we announce the earthly transition of Vernon Hawthorne, Sr. on February 23, 2026

The visitation will be held in the mortuary on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 2:00PM-4:00PM. The celebration of life will be held Friday, March 13, 2026 at 12:30PM in the Rosa Glover Holmes Memorial Chapel. The final disposition of burial will be held in the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30PM.

In the time of personal loss, the beloved family has elected to locally entrust the Ministry of Comfort & Care, along with transitional after-care arrangements to Holmes-Glover-Solomon Funeral Directors, Inc.
