In humble submission to the will of God, we announce the earthly transition of Wayne L. Barber, Sr. on February 14, 2026.

The visitation will be held in the mortuary on Thursday, February26, 202 from 2:00PM-5:00M. The celebration of life will be held Friday, February 27, 2026 at 12:00PM in the Dayspring Church. The final disposition of burial will be held in the Edgewood Cemetery.

Wayne was employed by the State of Florida Department of Juvenile Justice and retired with 22 years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sheila Gay; his parents, Henry and Etta Mae Barber; his sisters, Della, Mildred (Jean) and Jacqueline; his brother, Ronald; and his nephew, Gregory "Butch" Barber.

Wayne is survived by his children, Wayne "Tu" Barber, II, Warren Barber (Kalee), Shawnesci Skye Barber; bonus children, Stacy McDougald (Keith) and Shane Kirkland (Richard); grandchildren, Khairi Aaron Barber-Corporal, Warren Xavier Sisneros-Barber, Wesleyn Barber, Wylan Barber; siblings, Henrietta Ware (John), Sherron Austin, Raymond Barber, Norman Barber (Sylvia), Ludovice Clements (Willie); and a host of other relatives and friends.

In the time of personal loss, the beloved family has elected to locally entrust the Ministry of Comfort & Care, along with transitional after-care arrangements to Holmes-Glover-Solomon Funeral Directors, Inc.
