Nancy Johnson was born on March 23, 1947 in Morris Station, Georgia, one of fourteen children born to Robert and Robbie Mitchell Johnson.

She attended and graduated from Stanton High School. She later met and married Mr. Oscar Tinsley.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert Lee, J. C. Johnson, George Johnson; two sisters, Marie Johnson and Catherine Smith.

Nancy leaves memories to be cherished by her children, Tevin Tinsley and Chelsey Tinsley; grandchild, Cayden Tinsley; siblings, Carrie Smith, Britt Johnson (Marie), Henry Lee Johnson, Merrie Williams, Verrie Grier, Bessie Walker (Carl), Calvin Johnson, Jack Johnson; sister-in-law, Gloria Johnson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
