Obituary

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Elmer Brown, Sr. will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM The Heir Church (159 Clark Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218) The final disposition will take place immediately following the service (12:30) at Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Road Jacksonville, Florida 32218. Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in Holmes Glover Solomon Funeral Directors at 4334 Brentwood Avenue Jacksonville, Florida 32206.

Elmer Brown Sr affectionally known by his family as "Uncle Brown", 88, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024 in Austell, GA. He was born on May 28,1935.   Elmer was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He lived a life filled with kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. Mr. Brown, Sr. fellowshipped with By Faith Christian Ministries and was employed with Pep Boys for many years.  He was later employed by Lobiondo Trucking Company where he retired after 40 years of dedicated service.

Elmer enjoyed traveling and going to the Russell Family Reunion.  He has touched the lives of many. His legacy of love and compassion will forever be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by loving and devoted wife Betty Brown of 36 years; four children Donna McNair (Guy) of Douglasville GA, Elmer Brown Jr (Wife), of Camden NJ, Sharon Willingham of Fayetteville, GA. bonus daughter, Faith Daubon (Michael) of Jacksonville, FL and bonus-son, Lornzo Colson of Bridgeton NJ; two sisters Ethel Brown, Pennsville, NJ and Rita Harris of Salem NJ; one brother, Zackery Brown of Fayetteville NC; 4 brother- in-laws( 3 predeceased ) 6 sister-in -laws( 2 predeceased) 17 grandchildren, and host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya Coleman; three brothers, Richard Harris of Bridgeton, Gregory Brown of Quinton NJ, Bill Brown of California.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mrs. Betty Brown or to your favorite charity.

Emler Brown Sr will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May his soul rest in eternal peace
