In humble submission to the will of God, we announce the earthly transition of Isaac J. Murray on August 10, 2024.

The celebration of life service for Reverend Isaac James Murray will be held Monday, August 19, 2024 at 11 AM at Legacy Ministries Worship Center where he held membership. Reverend Murray was a successful business owner starting in 1989. After many accomplished years, he obtained his Florida Insurance Agent licensure and worked diligently as an agent until his untimely passing. A graduate of UNF with his Bachelors in Education, specializing in art, he worked as a teacher at Lincoln Villa, James Weldon Johnson, Emmett Reed, and many other youth centers in Jacksonville, FL. An accomplished photographer, he began Diamonds Photography in 1989 and blessed many couples, models, and families with his eye for the perfect shot. Reverend Isaac Murray was an ordained minister in the Baptist Church and received countless accolades and awards for his work with children teaching art, his work in the church and the community.

He was preceded in death by his father, Porter Turner, his mother, Christine Turner, his mother-in-law, Annie Pearl Belcher, his father-in-law, Mathew Belcher Sr., his siblings, Bertha Brown, Sandra Murray, Mary Griffin, Miley Mitchell (Ernest), Altamese Lee (Sammie), Angelina Joseph, Judith Young (Ellis), Porter Turner Jr., Mildred Bolden and his brothers-in law, Ray Matthews Belcher and Demetrious Belcher.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Betty Belcher Murray; his children Iris J. Murray and Lisa Washington (Abraham); his grandchildren, Isaac Washington (Wynice), Harry O. Ball, Christine Michel (Johnson), Ericka J. Ball, Luke Washington, Barbara Jackson, Jaylen Jackson, David Washington, Daniel Washington, Tyler Newmy, Kennedy Barnes, Chase Michel, Jackson Young, and Charli Michel; his sisters Christine Holloway and Gladys Dixon; his brother-in-law, Lester Joseph, and a host of other grandchildren, godchildren, church family members, other relatives, and friends.
