In humble submission to the will of God, we announce the earthly transition of Michael McNair on September 8, 2024. The visitation will be held in the mortuary on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 4:00PM - 7:00PM. The Omega Service will be held at 6:00PM. The celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 21, at 11:00AM in The Bethel Church, Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick, Jr. Pastor. The final disposition of burial will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Michael was educated in the Duval Public School District as a 1994 graduate of William Marion Raines Senior High School. He graduated from the Florida State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management. During his time at FSU and was initiated into the Chi Theta Chapter of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated in 2002. Micheal later received his Master of Science Degree in Sports Management from Liberty University and his education specialist degree from Valdosta State University.
Mr. McNair was a beloved Assistant Principal at Jean Ribault Senior High School and worked closely with the athletic department, fine arts and foreign language departments.
Micheal's legacy lives on through his son and fraternity brother, Christian P. McNair; daughters, Kylah S. McNair and Malia L. McNair; mother, Valerie McNair; father, Freamon McNair Jr., brother, Dr. Freamon McNair III, DME (Tonya); grandmother, Pearline McNair; aunts, Deidre McNair-Pinkney, Pamela Stewart (Richard), Katie Stafford (Joe); first cousins, Terence Oates, Sr. (Alicia), Jared Oates, Sonya Griffin Kirkland (Joe), Robert B. Griffin, Shemiah Stewart Gunter (Ty), Mikaylah Stewart, Rachel Smith, Karmi Smith, Solomon Pinkney, Edward Stafford and Lewania Harper (Stephone); nephews, Delvin Thomas, Jr., Tishawn Battiste; and a host of other relatives, fraternity brothers, colleague, student mentees, and friends.
The colors for service are Purple and Gold.
Any edible donations can be brought/delivered to the home of Valarie McNair, mother, anytime between now and Friday, September 20, 2024
