In Loving Memory of Tajmali "Mikey" Rutledge
Tajmali "Mikey" Rutledge, lovingly known as "Big Mike" or "Taj," was a man of faith, a devoted husband, a loving father, a caring son, an amazing brother, a cherished cousin, and a loyal friend. He was a believer in Christ, a man who lived his life with purpose, kindness, and a giving heart.
Mikey was hardworking and had a way of making friends wherever he went. His presence was a true joy—his big smile could light up a room, and his laughter was infectious. He loved his family deeply and was always the one people could count on. Whether it was offering a helping hand, sharing a word of encouragement, or simply being there, Mikey made a difference in the lives of so many.
His passions included racing and football, and he embraced life with enthusiasm and love. He will be remembered not just for what he did but for who he was a man of integrity, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Though his physical presence will be missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy of love, generosity, and faith will never be forgotten.
He leaves a legacy to be cherished by his devoted wife, Lawanza Rutledge; children, Destiny Rutledge, Taja Rutledge, Taylor Rutledge, Tahmari Rutledge, Eli Ruthledge; godson, Karter Anderson; his mother has requested to remain anonymous; father, Joe Rutledge of Andrews, SC; siblings, Ivan Rutledge (Vania), Tarsha Collins (Wendell), and Kenny Dozier all of Andrews, SC, Shaneka Rutledge of Jacksonville, FL, Tarnesha (Bishop Creig, Sr.) of Lake City, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Rest in peace, Mikey. You were loved beyond measure, and your impact on this world will never fade.
