Funeral service for Walter Roberts, Jr. will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 11:00AM in the St. Mathews Baptist Church, 3731 Moncrief Road W. Jacksonville, Florida 32209 Rev. George A. Price, officiating.  Mr. Roberts was employed at CSX as a cook and retired after many years of dedicated service.  He is survived by his loving spouse, Marjorie J. Roberts, son, James Roberts (Deborah), three grandchildren, James Roberts II, Jonathan Roberts and Apryl Roberts, four great-grandchildren, godson & nephew, Harry Vickers, Jr. (Sylvia), goddaughter, Tiffany Jones, niece & caregiver, Bernadette Alston.  Visitation will be held in the mortuary on Thursday, June 22nd, from 4:00PM-7:00PM. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
